Do you need a coach?

 

Coaching is NOT therapy and does not substitute for therapy. Prospective clients who are suffering from mental illness or severe disease are encouraged to seek professional advice from a specialist in that particular area. Although our health coaching is based on science, we do NOT offer medical advice. We offer science based experimental and natural approaches to balancing your mind and body. We can refer you to a medical professional if you need medical advice or prescriptions.

 

Most people who are open to change will benefit from having a coach. A nutritional and lifestyle coach can give you the tools and knowledge you need to improve your health and support you in reaching your goal much quicker than on your own. Roughly 80% of people who make New Year’s resolutions do not follow through. Often this is a result of commitments which are made because we think we should, not because this is something that truly matters to us, or in some cases the lack of self-belief. Chances are that you will follow through or even realise that your goal is much different from what you thought initially when you first made your New Year's resolution when you have a coach supporting you. A coach will help you see things from a new perspective, encourage you to discover strengths that you did not think you had, and achieve goals that you may not have dared dream of before.

 

Coaches are sought after for many different reasons such as how or what to eat, managing stress, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, personal or professional goals, beliefs, values, or cultivation of a meaningful life. Although we are very passionate about nutrition at Leading Edge we like to take a holistic approach to address health from several angles in a way that suits you. We use science based information and techniques to help you achieve your goals. We like to use lab testing to be able to better guide you through nutritional and lifestyle changes that will address your specific imbalances. Although feeling better is awesome, we also like to be able to SEE that you are better. Genetic lab tests can also be very useful for certain individuals to determine what foods or supplements best benefits their type of metabolism, we are all different. Nutrition is an important part of well-being, however, rest and relaxation is often overlooked. There are many parameters affecting our hormones, which is why we do so much more than just give you a nutrition plan to follow. Having said that, we are happy to and most likely will provide you with a personalised nutrition plan for your specific health condition. However, no amount of knowledge will give you results unless you are able to implement these. This is where coaching comes in. We can help you define your goals, work with you to find a solution to hormonal imbalances or other medical conditions, and give you tools and motivation to achieve what is most important to you. Although you as a client ultimately have the power to request what particular matter you need support with we recommend that anyone thinking about coaching with us is open to both nutritional and lifestyle changes. We are all about customised coaching based on your specific needs. This is why we offer UNLIMITED COACHING to all our one to one coachees. You will together with your coach determine how much coaching you need and when. We are here to support you and to help you achieve your goals in a way that is doable for you. However, we cannot do the work for you. Therefore we urge you to think about whether you have the dedication to commit to at least 6 months of continuous coaching with following changes to diet, mindset, and lifestyle before you sign up.
